As a musical prodigy, he always showed great enthusiasm, listened to music from other artists, and tried to create something based on what he heard. We are happy to introduce you to a talented musician – Dixon Rose!

[Blaster] Thank you for your time! What music did you grow up listening to?

Dixon Rose: Mostly rock.. however also listened to a lot from the 50s and 60s basically everything from the 50s to today.

[Blaster] How did you become involved in music production?

Dixon Rose: A couple people heard some songs I was messing around with for fun and said “you should start recording and releasing this stuff” so on their advice I started doing it!

[Blaster] How would you describe your musical style?

Dixon Rose: It’s very versed. I write everything from rock, to rap, pop, dance and EDM to hints of country. I try not to box myself in and put out stuff that sounds good to me.

[Blaster] Who writes your songs?

Dixon Rose: Me and a handful of select musicians will help with stuff. I usually play all the instruments however for example I’m not a great drummer so if a song I’m doing needs a rather difficult drum piece I’ll have a friend perform the drum piece who’s an actually drummer.

[Blaster] Is there a hidden meaning in your music?

Dixon Rose: I try to let my music be geared toward the gay community. And most of my music is written for and to one specific person. At least the ballers are.

[Blaster] Do you collaborate with other musicians? What is that process?

Dixon Rose: Not really. At least not in this early point in my career. But I am open to it.

[Blaster] What skills have you learned that will help you in your music career?

Dixon Rose: Honestly im still learning a lot as I go as far as production goes.

[Blaster] Do you have a record label? Are you a member of any music organization?

Dixon Rose: I’m a member of CD baby, who distributes my music to platforms.

[Blaster] Where do you find your artistic inspiration?

Dixon Rose: Really it’s when I hear a song they catches my ear. If I like the sound and design of the tune I’ll tend to write something similar to it but yet try to keep it a Lil different

[Blaster] What are the main topics for most of your songs? Do you think topics will change overtime?

Dixon Rose: Seems a lot of my music involves love or some type of heartbreak really and I hope it will change overtime. It’s always nice to change things up and go in different directions

[Blaster] What are you working on right now? Did you release something in the past?

Dixon Rose: Right now I’m kind of taking a break. I just released 3 albums over about 6 months. My most current album “trilogy” was released Sept 2021. Then I have 2 other albums “to the moon and back” and “Dixon Rose” (Dixon rose is soley a cover album.)

[Blaster] What do you feel is the best song you ever released and why?

Dixon Rose: For me I’d have to say it’s my song “one more chance” because it’s the first song I ever wrote and I wrote it for a very special person in my life.

[Blaster] Who are you inspired by?

Dixon Rose: As a guitarist I’m inspired by slash from guns n roses. As far as bands go I try find inspiration from every band I listen to. I also get a good portion of my inspiration from this particular guy that I’m seeing.

[Blaster] What would be your dream collaboration, with any musician or producer?

Dixon Rose: I’d love to work with guns n roses one day.

[Blaster] How do you balance your music with other obligations – school, hobby, job?

Dixon Rose: Honestly it’s not that hard of a thing for me. When I start writing a song it usually only takes a day or 2 to do it so I tend to write fairly quickly.

[Blaster] At the end of the day, what do you hope people take away from your music?

Dixon Rose: I hope people will enjoy the music and it will inspire someone to pick up an instrument and start learning to play. I don’t think there can ever be too much music in the world.

[Blaster] Would you like to give any message to your fans?

Dixon Rose: I love you all!
