His sound illustrates everything indistinct… Shadows, dim-lights and dusk undertones are what visually represent the sound of his sound… We are happy to introduce you to the talented music producer –  DR. T !

[Blaster] Thank you for your time Dr. T! What music did you grow up listening to?

DR. T: Pretty much everything. I tried to leave no stone unturned, especially in high school. Artists like Lil Wayne, Drake, Kanye West, J. Cole Producers like DrewsThatDude, 9th Wonder, Sledgren. Even bands like Earth, Wind and Fire, Breaking Point and Coldplay. I was always a huge fan of being musically diverse and I feel like that helped contribute to my sound.

[Blaster] How did you become involved in music production?

DR. T: I was always into music as a kid. My family used to get mad at me for always beating on the table. The teachers at school always got on me for making beats on the desks with pencils. I just couldn’t stop haha. My older cousin introduced me to my first daw, FL Studio at 12 years old. I had no idea what I was doing at first but I loved the idea of creating something from nothing and I haven’t stopped since.

[Blaster] How would you describe your musical style?

DR. T: My style is like the weather, forever changing. Some tracks are drum-heavy and others are completely ambient with no drums. I like to embrace diversity and keep my style fresh.

[Blaster] Who writes your songs?

DR. T: Me, myself and I.

[Blaster] Is there a hidden meaning in your music?

DR. T: I wouldn’t say a hidden meaning, but there are definitely things in my music that most people won’t pick up on. For example in my project Tsuka, the track “Forth” is a sample of the track “Back and Forth” which is why they blend together so well in transition. That’s been a signature of mine.

[Blaster] Do you collaborate with other musicians? What is that process?

DR. T: I haven’t been recently but I am definitely open to collaborating. For any of that, it’s best to message me on social media or my email.

[Blaster] What skills have you learned that will help you in your music career?

DR. T: Putting together a computer from scratch definitely.

[Blaster] Do you have a record label? Are you a member of any music organization?

DR. T: Yes, I am the Executive Music Producer and Co-Founder of The Sound of Nebula, based out of Dallas/Fort Worth Texas.

[Blaster] Where do you find your artistic inspiration?

DR. T: Honestly, I find inspiration in anything and everything. How I feel, situations I’ve been in, the weather, a show. Hell, I sampled a printer not too long ago.

[Blaster] What are the main topics for most of your songs? Do you think topics will change overtime?

DR. T: I really couldn’t give you a topic but my main genres are Hip-Hop, Dubstep, R&B and Funk.

[Blaster] What are you working on right now? Did you release something in the past?

DR. T: I’m working on albums for 2 artists with my label, MiiD and Don and a few personal projects.

[Blaster] What do you feel is the best song you ever released and why?

DR. T: Personally, I couldn’t give you an answer. I’m pretty objective when it comes to my music now.

[Blaster] Who are you inspired by?

DR. T: I’m inspired by everyone at different times, but recently it’s been DrewsThatDude, MXXWLL, GEOTHEORY, and a lot of others.

[Blaster] What would be your dream collaboration, with any musician or producer?

DR. T: Dr. Dre, KOAN Sound, GEOTHEORY or DrewsThatDude would be dope. There plenty more but that list could get really long haha

[Blaster] How do you balance your music with other obligations – school, hobby, job?

DR. T: I don’t haha. I’m always pushing something off to make more music.

[Blaster] At the end of the day, what do you hope people take away from your music?

DR. T: That anything is possible and nothing can define you unless you allow it to.

[Blaster] Would you like to give any message to your fans?

DR. T: I appreciate every single one of you and I owe it to y’all to keep improving and putting out music that keeps you grounded in this crazy world we live in. Enjoy yourselves.

[Blaster] Feel free to share your contact information for possible collaborations with musicians and social networks links, so fans can follow your work and access your music.
