[Blaster] Thank you for your time Cory! What music did you grow up listening to?

Cory Singer: Everything! My parents had great music taste, everything from The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Barry Manilow, Neil Young … I could go on and on. I also was a musical theater kid so I was really into listening to musical soundtracks.


[Blaster] How did you become involved in music production?

Cory Singer: In 2013, I starred on BRAVO TV’s show “The Kandi Factory” starring Kandi Burruss. It was my first time in the studio and I fell in love with the whole process of writing songs and bringing them to life.


[Blaster] How would you describe your musical style?

Cory Singer: I would describe my music as original and authentic to who I am. I love all genres of music so I tend to write honestly what I am feeling in the moment. Indie, Singer-Songwriter, Pop, Ballads & Rock. I just write from m heart.

[Blaster] Who writes your songs?

Cory Singer: Me. I have been pitched songs through the years but I really like writing my songs.


[Blaster] Is there a hidden meaning in your music?

Cory Singer: Never. I really just keep it real. If I have something to say, I would rather be truthful in my writing and put it out there lol.


[Blaster] Do you collaborate with other musicians? What is that process?

Cory Singer: I love collaborating with my producers, I am open to the talents of others. I also like to learn from musicians and other writers.

[Blaster] What skills have you learned that will help you in your music career?

Cory Singer: TikTok. True story. I found my confidence by opening up about my autism on TikTok and as a result I do not get nervous during media interviews.


[Blaster] Do you have a record label? Are you a member of any music organization?

Cory Singer: I am a member of BMI, I am with Heart Songs Music. Group.


[Blaster] Where do you find your artistic inspiration?

Cory Singer: My life. I write about what is my experiences. I recently went through a rough break up and oh boy, Taylor Swift move over lady. I have an entire EP I should call therapy.

[Blaster] What are the main topics for most of your songs? Do you think topics will change overtime?

Cory Singer: I write about my own life experiences. So yes, I am sure over time my topics will change because I am most inspired to write from my own life.


[Blaster] What are you working on right now? Did you release something in the past?

Cory Singer: I just released “Chance of a Lifetime (The Proposal)”. I am going to be dropping music and videos through the rest of the year and then releasing an LP at the beginning of 2023.


[Blaster] What do you feel is the best song you ever released and why?

Cory Singer: “Someone”. It was honest and everybody whe listened to the song connected emotionally. I literally made grown men cry.

[Blaster] Who are you inspired by?

Cory Singer: My Mother, Jill Pavel. She is my manager and best friend. She raised me as a single mother and taught me what work ethic is, sarcasm haha and also how to make everyday count, She is a really positive and has been through so much but she always gets up and wins.


[Blaster] What would be your dream collaboration, with any musician or producer?

Cory Singer: David Foster. Period.


[Blaster] How do you balance your music with other obligations – school, hobby, job?

Cory Singer: I don’t balance, I just hustle everyday. Get up at 4:30, work on my piano, guitar skills. Go to work for 8 hours. Come home at 2:30ish have a cup of coffee and go to job #2 my music career. I try to write at least three songs a week, work out, practice my music instruments, record, work on social media. It is never ending and I rarely take a break, I am so ready to break the doors down.


[Blaster] At the end of the day, what do you hope people take away from your music?
Cory Singer: Joy, Pain, Memories, Love.
