We are happy to introduce you to the talented and young music artist from USA – DRE KITSUNE !

[Blaster] Thank you for your time! What music did you grow up listening to?

Dre Kitsune: I grew up listening to a lot of artists, from Gucci Mane to Outkast in the Hip-Hop world & Mary J Blige to Rihanna in the R&B world. At some point in growing up, I decided to venture off and listen to other genres such as Rock music and I was mainly listening to bands like Slipknot & AC/DC.

[Blaster] How did you become involved in music production?

Dre Kitsune: I became involved in music production by going on websites that can allow you to make your own beats but it wouldn’t sound clean as to making music on a program like Fl Studio. I also found a recording website called Beautiful Audio Editor. Found them on Google & I had to use it in someway to try and create my own sound. At some point, the beats I was making at the time didn’t sound any good no more so I went to YouTube and started downloading beats for free, record my vocals, mix the song, & then drop it on SoundCloud. No those songs are no longer up on my page to this day.

[Blaster] How would you describe your musical style?

Dre Kitsune: I would describe it as weird, bipolar, fun music with some songs that are emotional here and there.

[Blaster] Is there a hidden meaning in your music?

Dre Kitsune: No but I plan to put hidden meanings in my future songs someday.

[Blaster] Who writes your songs?

Dre Kitsune: I write my songs. Only time I get help writing a song is when I’m going through writer’s block.

[Blaster] Where do you find your artistic inspiration?

Dre Kitsune: I get my artistic inspiration from either movies and/or real life events and I kind of just put my own narrative spin on it.

[Blaster] Do you have a record label? Are you a member of any music organization?

Dre Kitsune: I don’t have a record label & I am not apart of any music organization. I am an independent artist.

[Blaster] Who are you inspired by?

Dre Kitsune: To this day I’m still trying to figure out where I get my inspiration from but so far I can say I got inspiration from Gucci Mane, xxxtentacion, Bryson Tiller, Playboi Carti, & Kanye West.

[Blaster] Do you collaborate with other musicians? What is that process?

Dre Kitsune: I collaborate with people in my state, which is South Carolina. The process with them are different. Like with my somewhat frequent collaborator NateKG we’d send demos to each other with open verses and we would just fill in those spots. Now with me, I’d have to wait like a year or two for him to send a verse back as he’s more of a perfectionist than me. He don’t usually ask me to hop on his songs but when he do he get a verse from me within a month or two. With other people, I’d ask them to hop on a song with me and tell them to send it back by a specific date and they usually send it before that date.

[Blaster] What skills have you learned that will help you in your music career?

Dre Kitsune: I’ve learned how to write songs, produce, engineer, & I’m currently working on my mixing & mastering skills for the 10th time so I can perfect it. All of these skills I usually work on from time to time.

[Blaster] What are the main topics for most of your songs? Do you think topics will change overtime?

Dre Kitsune: The main topics in my songs are usually about hanging out with friends, ghosting people, & fighting. I do think my topics change over time as I don’t really like to write a song about the same thing constantly.

[Blaster] What are you working on right now? Did you release something in the past?

Dre Kitsune: I am currently working on my mixtape Seven Nights & I have changed the sound for my mixtape a million times but I think I got it for right now. I did release something in the past, which are a lot of mixtapes, one of them on all platforms titled Ghost, & I dropped my independent album DIH2 in October last year, with the deluxe DIH2.0 that dropped in last January. I also just dropped a song on my SoundCloud & YouTube 6 days ago.

[Blaster] What do you feel is the best song you ever released and why?

Dre Kitsune: My song me + you. I feel that the best song I’ve released because I made it out of raw, heartbroken energy that came from a bad relationship that I had. I feel that I delivered it perfectly when creating that song.

[Blaster] What would be your dream collaboration, with any musician or producer?

Dre Kitsune: My dream collaboration would be a song with Playboi Carti, a song with Kanye West, a song with Tyler, The Creator, & a song with Metro Boomin.

[Blaster] How do you balance your music with other obligations – school, hobby, job?

Dre Kitsune: Sometimes I put school & my job first before music, other times I put music before school & my job. With hobbies I can just do that whenever I made a song for a day or a beat. Right now I’m getting ready for college so we’ll see what happens from there.

[Blaster] At the end of the day, what do you hope people take away from your music?
Dre Kitsune: I hope people can take away the fact that there are rappers in SC that can actually rap. Don’t let it fool you.

[Blaster] Would you like to give any message to your fans?

Dre Kitsune: Be on the lookout for Seven Nights!!! I might also drop something else too before the year end!!!
