A talented British rapper hailing from the small village of Cubbington. He creates good music by drawing on his personal experiences and emotions, weaving them into his lyrics with clever wordplay, skilled delivery, and a unique blend of musical influences that resonates with his audience. We are happy to introduce you to the multi talented artist – IcyDaRabbit !

[Blaster] Thank you for your time! What music did you grow up listening to?

IcyDaRabbit: In my family home there was always two different genres constantly playing, Hip-hop or Reggae. I have grown more into the hip-hop genre than the other. I have grown up on classic rap and massive rappers like Eminem, Dr Dre and Tupac. As a kid I didn’t know anything on what they’re saying or implying but I’d always have a great time listening to them. Example one of my favourite songs as a kid was Eminem’s Stan. I’d always bop my head to it dispute the story and lyrics behind it.

[Blaster] How did you become involved in music production?

IcyDaRabbit: It all started back in college in 2017. My plans were to get into the media industry. Wether it’s TV, film or even online content, it was going to be one of them. One of my classmates wanted to do music at the time and was a rapper himself by the name of UNDFTDJAY. We had a plan to try and grow both our contents by making diss tracks on each other (at the time that was trending) he made his and it was brutal. And I made mine. Wrote the lines, found a beat and recorded and performed it in a music video. I found that whole prowess of making music so fun it became a new hobby to me at the time. I kept making my music, style and lyrics keeps evolving to what it is today!

[Blaster] How would you describe your musical style?

IcyDaRabbit: My music taste consists of Eminem, NF and Josh A so if you know those artists. You’ll have an idea. Lyrics have a meaning to them in a paced flow. If the song is a sad or a love song. It’ll be slower with deeper lyrics but it’s the song is hyped up and rage enduring, it’ll be faster and more literal in its lyrics.

[Blaster] Is there an hidden meaning in any of your music?

IcyDaRabbit: I like to make a story out of all my songs. So every song has some sort of meaning to it. My Albums usually follow its own storyline too. For example, my Freakshow! albums are about a independent man with a lot of mental problems running a circus. Which is kind of a metaphor for myself and a lot of people I know.

[Blaster] Who writes your songs?

IcyDaRabbit: I do. I take this view from Eminem. If I didn’t write the song, the song has no meaning. To me, everything has to be authentic.

[Blaster] Where do you find your artistic inspiration?

IcyDaRabbit: I love the artistic approach on the colour use of Black and white. So I usually keep to that colour scheme. I love instrumental that have a cinematic feel to it too but that’s just the media background in my mind wanting to merge with my music.

[Blaster] Do you have a record label? Are you a member of any music organization?

IcyDaRabbit: Yes, I am involved with two labels. The Orange Hood Association which consists of UNDFTDJAY and W4RP (another musician in our friend group) and it’s just the three of us. It’s kind of like a ‘band’ thing. And the other label is Love + Madness. A local, recently founded record label which I got the honour of meeting new artists like me and finding out what it is like to perform and be part of the music Industry.

[Blaster] Who are you inspired by?

IcyDaRabbit: My main three are Eminem, NF and Josh A. My inspiration change on what style I want a song or project to be so I find closely related styles but those three always the backbone to my music. Another thing in inspired by is my family and my fiancé. I always want to make them proud of my work.

[Blaster] Do you collaborate with others? What is that process?

IcyDaRabbit: I do collaborate with other musicians. I collaborate a lot with UNDFTDJAY and W4RP because we are close friends and we know each others styles. But I also like to aim with making music with musicians online. Example I think my biggest feature in a song was CG5 or TrippyThaKid. I always email artists like these because you’ll get a better chance of a response than using DM in Instagram or Twitter ect. I message them saying what part they’ll be in like chorus or song, what the songs about then send it to them after paying them the price they name. It’s always worth it to make a song with big named artists.

[Blaster] What skills have you learned that will help you in your music career?

IcyDaRabbit: When I started music, I was resitting my English exams in college. I think writing music really helped me not only to pass that class but to learn new words and syllables to construct better rhyme schemes and story. I’ve learned that you don’t have to be afraid to perform because live music is so much more different than recorded music. And finally, as much as it sounds cheesy. I learned how to love myself. When starting music I was in a bad place. But it helped me out of there and find a new way to express myself.

[Blaster] What are the main topics for most of your songs? Do you think topics will change overtime?

IcyDaRabbit: Topic change overtime. Sad, Love, Anger and so on. It depends on the album I say. Each album has its own unique style and topic cause of the storytelling I like to present in the albums.

[Blaster] What are you working right now? Did you release something in the past?

IcyDaRabbit: I am working on my third and final album in the Freakshow! Trilogy. The second Freakshow album is my most streamed and biggest project I have ever released. I believe this third album will top it somehow.

[Blaster] What do you feel is the best song you ever released and why?

IcyDaRabbit: It has to be Irreplaceable with CG5. Not only is CG5 one of my favourite online content creators and musicians but the song is about my fiancé. It felt like this song had every piece of the puzzle in place. This song is my most successful song that isn’t a remix. And I couldn’t be more prouder of that song.

[Blaster] What would be your dream collaboration, with any musician or producer?

IcyDaRabbit: I say my big three inspirations would be my dream collaboration. Eminem cause he’s one of the biggest rappers of all time. NF cause his storytelling and emotional lyrics are inspirational and Josh A cause he’s one of those musicians i found and just fell in love with his style. I’d love to make a project with these guys.

[Blaster] How do you balance your music with other obligations – school, hobby, job?

IcyDaRabbit: I live in an accommodation for University at the moment so I focus on music after work for that. Hobby’s like gaming or social life just comes when I feel like I need to relax or talk to somebody. And job? Music is my job at the moment and I couldn’t be happier about it.

[Blaster] At the end of the day, what do you hope people take away from your music?

IcyDaRabbit: Don’t be afraid of convey emotion to people. No matter who you are. Don’t matter about Gender, Sexuality, Race or Class. Everyone is human and emotion is very human. Be the best you can be and love yourself and others.

[Blaster] Would you like to give any message to your fans?

IcyDaRabbit: Don’t ever give up on yourself, your dreams or the ones you love. You’ll find something that’ll link all of them together in a healthy way. And if it weren’t for you kings and queens I wouldn’t be in a position where I can help others. So thank you. Truely 🖤

[Blaster] Can you share your contact information for possible collaborations and social networks links, so fans can follow your work and access your music?
