We are happy to introduce you to the talented and young music artist from USA – Lil Splash !
[Blaster] Thank you for your time! What music did you grow up listening to?
Lil Splash: I grew up listening to rap, pop, and R&b.
[Blaster] How did you become involved in music production?
Lil Splash: When I was 13 years old I would constantly write songs in the note section of my phone but would never record them then one day I found out I was able to record on bandlab and from there i was recording every other day.
[Blaster] How would you describe your musical style?
Lil Splash: I would describe my musical style as like a expression and a hobby. I enjoy making music as a hobby and i use it to express feelings in songs.
[Blaster] Is there a hidden meaning in your music?
Lil Splash: Ya. In some of my songs I will have a lyric about something that has happened to me or someone around me, or something I’ve done in my life. Another message I would have in my music is a memory I’ve shared with a person I’ve lost who was close to me.
[Blaster] Who writes your songs?
Lil Splash: My songs are usually 50/50 half of them I freestyle and half of them I write. A big majority of them I would say I freestyle because when you write you kinda train yourself to get one flow when you freestyle it opens you up to do different flows.
[Blaster] Where do you find your artistic inspiration?
Lil Splash: Some of my inspiration I get after I hear a song and I like how it sounds. Like if I hear a song like Moneybagg yo said sum I will go thru beats I have and look for beats that give me a vibe like that song. Another place I get inspiration is my emotions. My emotions give me inspiration by if I’m happy I’ll make a song that’s like a go for a drive and just play it loud with your windows down or if I’m depressed I’ll make a song that you would listen to with like headphones on at night with ur hoodie on and just chill.
[Blaster] Do you have a record label? Are you a member of any music organization?
Lil Splash: No.
[Blaster] Who are you inspired by?
Lil Splash: I found my inspiration from from artists Eminem, Logic, Moneybagg Yo, Lil Durk, and Lil Tracy
[Blaster] Do you collaborate with other musicians? What is that process?
Lil Splash: Ya, I collab with other artists. When we collab it’s usually a quick process. Normally when I collab with other artists i will hop on a FaceTime with the other person and we’ll record on FaceTime until we have a finished product that we like or we’ll lock in at the studio if where in the same city. If neither of those are an option one of us will just send a open verse to the other persons email or phone number and as soon i get it I usually start working on it.
[Blaster] What skills have you learned that will help you in your music career?
Lil Splash: I’ve learned how to make connections with artists, how to distribute my music to all platforms, how to monetize all my music, how to mix and master my own songs, and how to record my own vocals.
[Blaster] What are the main topics for most of your songs? Do you think topics will change overtime?
Lil Splash: The main topic for my songs are like vibe at party song.
[Blaster] What are you working on right now? Did you release something in the past?
Lil Splash: Recently I released my first studio album titled Delinquent Decisions which has 11 songs and a co-sign from. Drippin So Pretty. In the past months I’ve just been working on singles and another album that I plan to release soon after the done.
[Blaster] What do you feel is the best song you ever released and why?
Lil Splash: My favorite song of mine is a unreleased one I have called geeked up but my favorite released one that I have is called Russian Cream. This song is my favorite cause it’s short and catchy and it’s easy to vibe to no matter your mood or the time of day.
[Blaster] What would be your dream collaboration, with any musician or producer?
Lil Splash: My dream collab would be with either Lil Baby or Gunna. My dream producer collab would be in between wheezy or southside.
[Blaster] How do you balance your music with other obligations – school, hobby, job?
Lil Splash: I balance music by recording at school, when I get home from school or any chance I get when it’s quiet around. I typically record between 2-4 songs a day and close to 20 a week
[Blaster] At the end of the day, what do you hope people take away from your music?
Lil Splash: At the end of the day I just hope people give my music a chance and if they love it or hate it they still gave it a chance and it’s still one more person who knows about me.
[Blaster] Would you like to give any message to your fans?
Lil Splash: A message I would wanna give to my fans is this is just the beginning
