He is on the path to becoming the next multi-genre pop artist of our time. We are happy to introduce you to a talented singer, songwriter and producer – Matt Relevo !

[Blaster] Thank you for your time Matt! What music did you grow up listening to?

Matt Relevo: I grow up listening to Pop, RnB, Hip Hop, & Rock

[Blaster] How did you become involved in music production?

Matt Relevo: I started writing songs with just my voice, acoustic guitar or piano. After a couple of years, I realized how much I wanted to produce my full vision of the songs I was writing. So when I finally had access and learned about the tools I could use to record while in undergrad, I was able to consistently practice everyday and paint the full picture of my songs.

[Blaster] How would you describe your musical style?

Matt Relevo: I would describe my style as Pop with hints of Rnb and Rock.

[Blaster] Who writes your songs?

Matt Relevo: I write my own songs.

[Blaster] Is there a hidden meaning in your music?

Matt Relevo: I believe that the hidden meaning within my music, would be that I want the listener to always feel like they’re understood and not alone.

[Blaster] Do you collaborate with other musicians? What is that process?

Matt Relevo: I do collaborate with others. If I feel that our sounds work well I immediately know that I will be able to write a song for us. I often reach out to artists, or artists reach out to me with a demo; I also work closely with friends often.

[Blaster] What skills have you learned that will help you in your music career?

Matt Relevo: There is always something to learn, even if you’ve been in the field for years. I have definitely learned to always make music with intention/purpose.

[Blaster] Do you have a record label? Are you a member of any music organization?

Matt Relevo: I am currently not part of a record label and I am working as an independent artist.

[Blaster] Where do you find your artistic inspiration?

Matt Relevo: My artistic inspiration comes from everything in my life, whether it would be the people around me or from a movie I just watched.

[Blaster] What are the main topics for most of your songs? Do you think topics will change overtime?

Matt Relevo: Love is the main topic for most of my songs. I always thought that was a bad thing, but learned that love comes in different forms. I do believe this will change but only in the sense that the topic will mature or I would have a better understanding of it.

[Blaster] What are you working on right now? Did you release something in the past?

Matt Relevo: I am currently working on different singles and hoping to put together an album. I have released in the past a couple of singles, music videos and an EP.

[Blaster] What do you feel is the best song you ever released and why?

Matt Relevo: I feel that the best song I have released so far is “Try” because I feel that it best displays my versatility and who I am as an artist.

[Blaster] Who are you inspired by?

Matt Relevo: I am inspired mainly by my loved ones and artists such as Bruno Mars, Jon Bellion, Michael Jackson, Boys II Men and Musiq Soulchild.

[Blaster] What would be your dream collaboration, with any musician or producer?

Matt Relevo: I would love to collaborate with Bruno Mars and/or Jon Bellion because they inspire my music and I love how versatile they can be.

[Blaster] How do you balance your music with other obligations – school, hobby, job?

Matt Relevo: Besides being an independent artist, I go to Grad School for Songwriting and Composition at NYU and have a Full Time job. It is difficult to find time during the day, so I am often writing on the subway or during the night and weekends.

[Blaster] At the end of the day, what do you hope people take away from your music?
Matt Relevo: I hope people are able to feel that they are not alone when they listen to my music.

[Blaster] Would you like to give any message to your fans?

Matt Relevo: I would love to thank everyone that supports me and encourage them to never feel afraid to dream big and know I am always here for them.
