She is a singer-songwriter, best-selling author, actress & all around Entertainer, born in Lubbock & raised in San Antonio, Tx. We are happy to introduce you to a talented artist & musician –  Natalie Nichole !

[Blaster] Thank you for your time Natalie! What music did you grow up listening to?

Natalie Nichole: Growing up I had a wide variety of what I listened to. My ear ranges from Tejano, Punk, Pop, Country to RnB music and more. My Mother was well rounded when it came to her musical selections so I was always listening to artists like Bobby Goldsboro, Barry White, Steven Tyler, Papa Roach, Boys To Men, Selena, Shania Twain, Mariah Carey & so many others. There’s too many to list. It wasn’t unusual to hear all kinds of music in my house growing up. I’m grateful I was exposed to all genres because it played a huge role in my ability to write all genres of music myself.

[Blaster] How did you become involved in music production?

Natalie Nichole: Music I feel has always been an extension of me. Being able to express through music has been a therapeutic journey and so necessary in my life. I can’t see myself leading a normal, healthy life style without being able to create music. I feel music is a major reason I’m able to get over hardships or heartache fairly easily. There’s nothing like writing your feelings, arranging them, producing them and then giving them to the world. On a professional level I have always HAD to be involved in my music production. I’m a perfectionist and a genuine artist. If something is happening on the record that isn’t me I can’t put it out like that. I’m always heavily involved in absolutely everything I do.

[Blaster] How would you describe your musical style?

Natalie Nichole: I’d personally say my style of music is bedroom pop/rnb and provides real life stories and scenarios listeners can relate to and appreciate. There’s always an underlining sense of sexy and my goal every time someone hears a Natalie Nichole song is to make them FEEL.

[Blaster] Who writes your songs?

Natalie Nichole: I write all my songs. Every now and then I am given a song to record like “Simple” or I do a cover like “Gravity” but every single one of my records that I’ve ever released besides those two, I’ve written entirely by myself. There are also moments I have features and they write their own part or I write their part on occasion. I always want it to be very clear that I’m a songwriter, that matters a lot to me.

[Blaster] Is there a hidden meaning in your music?

Natalie Nichole: I love this question. I don’t hide anything. Everything in my music is a true story based off my life and is rarely ever exaggerated. Out of respect for people that I write songs about, I never say their names. I do however, always leave brutal hints in my songs so there is no way they could ever lie to themselves and think that I’m not talking to or about them. Everyone else listening to the song makes up their own scenarios about it as they wish.

[Blaster] Do you collaborate with other musicians? What is that process?

Natalie Nichole: I definitely love collaborating with others. The process is usually seamless when people realize time is money and I have to be compensated for my time and profession. I love being detailed and giving what an individual is looking for to enhance their record in any way I can. Usually, people that collaborate with me on my records are the same way.

[Blaster] What skills have you learned that will help you in your music career?

Natalie Nichole: I’ve learned to engineer myself, arrange music, co-produce, do all my background vocals etc. You can always learn new things but those things in particular I learned early on and have perfected over time. I feel like even as a professional I get better and better with practice.

[Blaster] Do you have a record label? Are you a member of any music organization?

Natalie Nichole: I have my own indie label: Indience Music Group and am a part music organizations like ASCAP, Songtrust, SoundExchange etc. Having something to represent myself was always a dream of mine. Eventually, I would love to mentor other talent but it’s hard to find people serious enough to take on the hard work and dedication the industry expects of you.

[Blaster] Where do you find your artistic inspiration?

Natalie Nichole: My artistic inspiration comes from my life. As long as I’m living I’ll always be inspired to write about something.

[Blaster] What are the main topics for most of your songs? Do you think topics will change overtime?

Natalie Nichole: My songs range. You might get a gospel song one month, a hip hop diss the next and then we throw out an RnB love song. I’m also the type that will throw you off the rails completely and put out a Spanish or country song. With me, you can always expect a story to to be told but it’s safer to expect the unexpected.

[Blaster] What are you working on right now? Did you release something in the past?

Natalie Nichole: I’m always working on new music. I’m working two projects right now. I don’t have any set dates for the compilations but I’m always releasing something. I often have a lot on my plate so I don’t ever like to promise anything I just keep working and stay consistent regardless, then deliver by surprise.

[Blaster] What do you feel is the best song you ever released and why?

Natalie Nichole: I appreciate all my songs for what they are individually. BUT, “Pay Attention” I’m especially fond and proud of because I wrote and arranged the entire record. I write and arrange all of my songs but this one is a DUET and to be able to hear someone else’s voice and be able to arrange them as well as I arrange myself, is a gift that I have. I feel it shines so well in that record in particular.

[Blaster] Who are you inspired by?

Natalie Nichole: I’m inspired by many things. My life, my Family, Mariah Carey, GOD. Anything can turn into inspiration.

[Blaster] What would be your dream collaboration, with any musician or producer?

Natalie Nichole: I have way too many dream collaboration ideas to even list. Artists: Chris Brown, Mariah Carey, Usher, Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars etc. Producers: Jermaine Dupri, Mike Will Made It etc.

[Blaster] How do you balance your music with other obligations – school, hobby, job?

Natalie Nichole: Balance is hard to execute especially if you do as much as I do but the iPhone calendar helps, and actually scheduling things is key. If I can’t put it in my calendar I don’t worry myself over it.

[Blaster] At the end of the day, what do you hope people take away from your music?
Natalie Nichole: I want people to follow the stories in my songs. I want people to allow themselves to be vulnerable when listening to a Natalie Nichole record and take the time to truly feel. So many people suppress their emotions and I just want them to let their emotions out with me. Feeling is a beautiful thing,

[Blaster] Would you like to give any message to your fans?
