[Blaster] Thank you for your time Jessica! What music did you grow up listening to?

Jessica: I grew up listening to all different styles of music which is why I think my style of country music is so diversified.   I listened from everything from The Beach Boys, to Richard Marx, No Doubt, Shania Twain, Lonestar, Neil Diamond and many more.

[Blaster] How did you become involved in music production?

Jessica: I became involved in music production because I wanted to have a better handle on how my music would be presented to the world.  I learned to be a jack of all trades of sorts for this reason.

[Blaster] How would you describe your musical style?

Jessica: My style is country that is heavily laced with pop, rock, the blues, and soul.

[Blaster] Who writes your songs?

Jessica: I write all of my music.  The music and lyrics.

[Blaster] Is there an hidden meaning in your music?

Jessica: All of my songs tell a story … and a true one at that.

[Blaster] Do you collaborate with other musicians? What is that process?

Jessica: I do co-write sometimes in Nashville and it definitely is different than writing totally on your own.  The other people can bring out sides of you that you never knew you had and that’s why I really love that.

[Blaster] Where do you find your artistic inspiration?

Jessica: I find my artistic inspiration in real life.  I really feel that that makes the best music.

[Blaster] What skills have you learned that will help you in your music career?

Jessica: I have learned to be my own record label.  Everything from creating graphics, doing PR, recording, tech stuff, etc… I can do it!

[Blaster] Do you have a record label? Are you a member of any music organization?

Jessica: No, I am an independent artist and till now I kinda’ like it.

[Blaster] Who are you inspired by?

Jessica: I am inspired by people that aren’t afraid to take chances.  I love it when other musicians and artists do something totally different than what’s popular at the moment.

[Blaster] What are the main topics for most of your songs? Do you think topics will change overtime?

Jessica: My songs are about a variety of topics.  I think it’s important to write about a lot of different things so that all types of people can relate to you.

[Blaster] What are you working on right now? Did you release something in the past? What do you feel is the best song you ever released and why?

Jessica: I am working on my brand new record.  I have released many singles, television specials and live albums in the past.
I am most proud of my single “Run To” that I released in April of 2020.  I really put my heart and soul into that song and tried something different that I really believed in.

[Blaster] At the end of the day, what do you hope people take away from your music?

Jessica: I hope that people feel that my music enhances their lives in the way that maybe it tells a story of something they have been through that they have not been able to tell themselves.

[Blaster] What would be your dream collaboration, with any musician or producer?

Jessica: I would love to collaborate with Neil Diamond as an artist and Mutt Lange as a producer.

[Blaster] How do you balance your music with other obligations – school, hobby, job?

Jessica: I am 100% full time music.
