[Blaster] Thank you for your time Opiano! What music did you grow up listening to?
Opiano: I listened to Afrobeat music from the likes of Fela, sunny ade, majek fashek, 2face idibia. I also listened to soul, reggae, country music, rock, rhythm and blues.
[Blaster] How did you become involved in music production?
Opiano: I FIRST GOT INVOLVED IN MUSIC PRODUCTION THROUGH A GROUP I JOINED WHILE I WAS 13 YEARS OLD. WE DID QUITE A LOT TOGETHER, BUT I DIDN’T RECORD MY OWN SONG TILL I WAS 22. UNLIKE SO MANY OTHER MUSICIANS, I COULDN’T AFFORD STUDIO TIME, SO I HAD TO BORROW FROM THE FAMILY NANNY AT THAT TIME. THE SONG DID COME OUT WELL AND DREW A LOT OF ATTENTION, DID SOME GOOD SHOWS AS WELL.
[Blaster] How would you describe your musical style?
Opiano: MY MUSIC STYLE IS DIVERSE, IT’S THE INFUSION OF AFROBEAT INTO EVERY OTHER STYLE, WHAT WE ALL NOW CALL AFRO-FUSION.
[Blaster] Who writes your songs?
Opiano: I write all my songs myself.
[Blaster] Is there an hidden meaning in your music?
Opiano: No! However, I often make music based on vibes, vibes only a few that’s experienced it will understand. Like they say music is spiritual, it’s a projection of a musician’s inner thought.
[Blaster] Do you collaborate with other musicians? What is that process?
Opiano: I do collaborate with my friends that are good musicians. We often just invite a producer to our spot, where we then proceed to making good music based on vibes at the moment.
[Blaster] Where do you find your artistic inspiration?
Opiano: From life as a whole, and the circumstances of things around me. I get inspired also by good music.

Opiano: I’m a graduate in business administration, after graduation, I ventured into fashion fully, where I leant how to sew and also managed a fashion house for a year. After that, I learnt how to edit videos properly, I edit videos I post on my social media page. I’m also a good content creator and marketer.

I’m currently working on my extended playlist(EP) with 6 tracks which I plan to release in the first quarter of 2021. THE BEST SONG I’VE EVER RELEASED IS “HAPPY”, BECAUSE IT’S A SONG I CAN RELATE WITH ANYTIME. IT’S MESSAGE IS MOTIVATIONAL, AND FOREVER GREEN.. Everyone wants to be happy anyway…

Opiano: It’s not been an easy task judging from the fact that I’m an independent artist and I majorly do it all by myself. But, this has also groomed me to place my priorities right, that’s how I’ve been able to manage my life, my business and music together.
[Blaster] Would you like to give any message to your fans?
