Emotional but energetic music is his specialty! We are happy to introduce you to the unique songwriter and record producer – Razvan Mitroi !
[Blaster] Thank you for your time Razvan! What music did you grow up listening to?
Razvan Mitroi: I grew up listening to Kygo’s Tropical House and Avicii’s music. Their melodies and their signature in music it’s an inspiration for me and I always wanted to be on their level. When I heard for the first time that Tim had passed away, I was devastated.
[Blaster] How did you become involved in music production?
Razvan Mitroi: I was in love with music from the beginning of my childhood and I always dreamed about how magical it is to know that millions of people are in love with your music, with something you made. Since Kygo’s debut in the official charts, in 2013, I immediately fell in love with his style and with Tropical House. ‘First Time’ by Kygo it’s my favorite song of all time and also this song inspired me to start music production.
[Blaster] How would you describe your musical style?
Razvan Mitroi: Since the beginning of my musical journey, I am trying to differentiate from other artists in the same genre. I love making emotional but also energetic music, which gives a happy/nostalgic feeling. In my music, you can see that my main inspiration is Kygo because I have a lot to learn from him and his career.
[Blaster] Who writes your songs?
Razvan Mitroi: I am the only artist behind my music production.
[Blaster] Is there an hidden meaning in your music?
Razvan Mitroi: Yes. The story behind my debut album called “Last Sunset With You” it’s about a couple which is on the edge of breaking apart because of lies and misunderstandings but in the end, they manage to get over those issues and stick together as the love is more powerful than any obstacles. I started working on this album a year ago and I wanted to make this album very emotional and sad but as I started working on the other songs I immediately fell in love with the idea of making the final songs much happier and energetic.
[Blaster] Do you collaborate with other musicians? What is that process?
Razvan Mitroi: Currently, I am not collaborating with other artists.
[Blaster] Where do you find your artistic inspiration?
Razvan Mitroi: I love walking while listening to music from my favorites artists. I am finding this activity very relaxing and I can find new ideas for songs as I have more time to spend with my thoughts.
[Blaster] What skills have you learned that will help you in your music career?
Razvan Mitroi: I learned not to compare myself with other artists, but instead, with my songs. This way you can see if you made a progress or not. My advice for new artists is to compare their existing music with their upcoming songs.
[Blaster] Do you have a record label? Are you a member of any music organization?
Razvan Mitroi: No, I do not own a record label but in the future, I would love to have my record label and to help other small artists.
[Blaster] Who are you inspired by?
Razvan Mitroi: I’m finding Kygo as my main inspiration. His music is very happy and it gives me the right energy throughout the day.
[Blaster] What are the main topics for most of your songs? Do you think topics will change overtime?
Razvan Mitroi: The main topic of my music is happiness. My goal is to inspire people through my music and to give them the right energy for doing amazing things.
[Blaster] What are you working on right now? Did you release something in the past? What do you feel is the best song you ever released and why?
Razvan Mitroi: In 2019, I released 5 singles, including one of my biggest hits “Summer Vibes” which passed 500.000 streams on Spotify this month. In 2020 my debut studio album called “Last Sunset With You” came out. The album contains 10 songs and is now available for streaming worldwide. This week, I finished my next single, “Don’t Wanna Fight It” and will be available on the 9th of October 2020.
I think my best song I ever produced is my upcoming single, “Don’t Wanna Fight It”. This song has an awesome vibe, as well as mixed feelings (drama, emotional, happiness). I am excited to see the feedback from my listeners about this song and I cannot wait 9th October to come, which is the day when the single will be released on all the major streaming platforms.
[Blaster] At the end of the day, what do you hope people take away from your music?
Razvan Mitroi: At the end of the day, my goal is to inspire people, to give them the right energy, and the most important part is for them to be happy.
[Blaster] What would be your dream collaboration, with any musician or producer?
Razvan Mitroi: My dream is to make a collaboration with Kygo. I think our styles would mix up very well and would be the perfect song for the summer.
[Blaster] How do you balance your music with other obligations – school, hobby, job?
Razvan Mitroi: This year I graduated from a business and tourism university at the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, Romania. After my graduation, my focus was on finishing my debut album as soon as possible. Sleep it’s the most important aspect of finding the right balance between music production and doing other activities throughout the day.
[Blaster] Would you like to give any message to your fans?
Razvan Mitroi: Yes, I am super grateful for having you as my fans. Hope I can inspire many of you through my music, every day I’m trying to make the best possible music for you to enjoy. Please stay safe and don’t forget to wear a mask whenever it’s possible.
