[Blaster] Thank you for your time Steve! What music did you grow up listening to?

Koyote Jag: I grew up listening to Rap, Hip-Hop and RnB.

 

[Blaster] How did you become involved in music production?

Koyote Jag: I work closely with music producers that create the instrumentals for my songs. I will spend hours listening to different beats and by different producers to find the right sound for me.

 

[Blaster] How would you describe your musical style?

Koyote Jag: My style is energetic, aggressive, electrifying and wavey. I love to mix things up and show versatility in my craft.

 

[Blaster] Who writes your songs?

Koyote Jag: I write my own songs and I always will. The only exception is when I collaborate with another artist.

[Blaster] Is there a hidden meaning in your music?

Koyote Jag: Most of what I write about is personal to me and mean something deep down. However, There are songs I write that arry fictional and the purpose is to improve and always get better at what I do.

 

[Blaster] Do you collaborate with other musicians? What is that process?

Koyote Jag: I absolutely love collaborating with artists. I usually do my own scouting. I try and match with artists with a similar style and energy I do.

 

[Blaster] What skills have you learned that will help you in your music career?

Koyote Jag: Business strategies, marketing, advertising and my protecting my music and my image. These things play such an important role and I will continue to better myself and learn as much as possible to stay ahead.

 

[Blaster] Do you have a record label? Are you a member of any music organization?

Koyote Jag: I am not signed to any independent or major record label. I am completely independent at this time.

[Blaster] Where do you find your artistic inspiration?

Koyote Jag: I get my inspiration by driving around and being outside. I will often write and work on several different beats at one time.

 

[Blaster] What are the main topics for most of your songs? Do you think topics will change overtime?

Koyote Jag: My song topics range from love and heartache, breakups, depression, getting lit and hype, being energetic and hyper and enjoying life. I like to change things up, so I am positive topics will change.

 

[Blaster] What are you working on right now? Did you release something in the past?

Koyote Jag: I have released 6- singles to date and have two more singles due by late February 2021. I also have a debut EP due in March. I have several songs shelved at the moment that I will finish at some point, but sometimes I just need a break from writing a song and I will finish it later.

[Blaster] What do you feel is the best song you ever released and why?

Koyote Jag: The best song I have ever released is titled, “Like That”. Don’t get me wrong – i love all of my music, but I felt this song really propelled my music career. However, my best songs to me are not released at the moment.

 

[Blaster] Who are you inspired by?

Koyote Jag: Currently I am being inspired by Sada Baby and 42 Dugg, but especially my fans, friends and family. They inspired me to do music and to do what I love doing.

 

[Blaster] What would be your dream collaboration, with any musician or producer?

Koyote Jag: My dream collaboration is to do a song with Sada Baby and the beat made by Helluva. That collab would be insane!

[Blaster] How do you balance your music with other obligations – school, hobby, job?

Koyote Jag: I usually write music in my spare time or off time. That’s when I can really focus on my music without any distractions.

 

[Blaster] At the end of the day, what do you hope people take away from your music?

Koyote Jag: I want them to give with my music and appreciate it. I did music for two reasons. I wanted to leave something behind in this world and my love for music allows me to to that. I may be gone from this world, but my music will always live on. I love that!

 

[Blaster] Would you like to give any message to your fans?

Koyote Jag: I appreciate my fans so much! They are amazing and incredible people and I would love to meet and talk to each of them and just chill and maybe go eat some really good food. They mean the world to me and they show me so much love and support. Whenever I can I get the opportunity, I will give back to them. It’s only right.
