We are happy to introduce you to the multi talented artist, singer, songwriter, producer and pianist –  MEL MARYNS !

[Blaster] Thank you for your time mel! What music did you grow up listening to?

MEL MARYNS: I grew up listening to Gun’s and Roses, Skid Row, Bon Jovi, Avril Lavigne, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Elton John, Amy Winehouse… I’m very eclectic, I’m always looking for new music and genres. I love music.

[Blaster] How did you become involved in music production?

MEL MARYNS: I’ve been singing since I was a little kid, my dad used to play guitar and there was always music in the house, we used to always sing together and I always had this really good feeling when I used to sing as if that was my destiny. Knowing that, I started writing my own original songs, I learned how to play the piano and after a while I started singing on the streets and I just knew that singing was my passion and it felt like it was meant to be. I started producing my own songs and releasing them on Spotify and all music platforms.

[Blaster] How would you describe your musical style?

MEL MARYNS: I would describe my music as……Mel Maryns. My music has that “pop” rock style. I love to rock out. My music is like my brain, my feelings, so everything that I feel I put it into lyrics and melodies. I love to write my own music.

[Blaster] Who writes your songs?

MEL MARYNS: Myself, I’ve written all my songs by myself. I’m a very creative person and I love to write. The fact that you can put your feelings into words and melodies is everything to me.

[Blaster] Is there a hidden meaning in your music?

MEL MARYNS: Every single one of my songs are based on real life stories that I’ve experienced. So, I guess the “hidden meaning” of my music is my life.

[Blaster] Do you collaborate with other musicians? What is that process?

MEL MARYNS: I haven’t had the opportunity to collaborate with other yet, but hopefully in the future.

[Blaster] What skills have you learned that will help you in your music career?

MEL MARYNS: One thing I know for sure, it might sound cliché but it’s the truth “never give up” You have to work hard to achieve your dreams. Practice all the time, practice makes perfect.

[Blaster] Do you have a record label? Are you a member of any music organization?

MEL MARYNS: Not yet. I’m an independent artist.

[Blaster] Where do you find your artistic inspiration?

MEL MARYNS: Well for me I find inspiration in everything even when I’m having a bad day, which leads me to write sad emotional songs. It’s very rare for me to not have inspiration as I’m always listening to music and reading.

[Blaster] What are the main topics for most of your songs? Do you think topics will change overtime?

MEL MARYNS: Most of my songs are about heartbreak. I’m only 17 and I still have a lot to learn and experience so, yes I think topics can change over time, as I said before all of my songs are based on real life experiences so the more I live the more I write about new things. I love writing about finding who you are and believing in yourself, all I wang is to inspire people with my music..

[Blaster] What are you working on right now? Did you release something in the past?

MEL MARYNS: I recently released 3 singles “Someone to Hold”, “Burning Flames” and “Get Away” and I’m planning on releasing a new single every month till the end of the year. And hopefully make an album in the future.

[Blaster] What do you feel is the best song you ever released and why?

MEL MARYNS: In my opinion my favorite song that I’ve released is Someone to Hold, it’s literally the whole package, the lyrics are so meaningful and heartfelt, the melody is so emotional and the instrumental oh my god! the guitar solo on the bridge? It gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. It will forever be my favorite song.

[Blaster] Who are you inspired by?

MEL MARYNS: I’m inspired by artists like Gun’s and Roses, Evanescence, Billie Eilish, Ariana grande and Shawn Mendes.

[Blaster] What would be your dream collaboration, with any musician or producer?

MEL MARYNS: My dream collaboration would be definitely Shawn Mendes. I just think he’s so awesome and talented, his music really inspires me.

[Blaster] How do you balance your music with other obligations – school, hobby, job?

MEL MARYNS: I finished school so now I have 100% of my time to dedicate myself to what I love to do, music and singing, and all of my friends are also musicians so we are all always singing and spending time together.

[Blaster] At the end of the day, what do you hope people take away from your music?

MEL MARYNS: I really just want to connect with people with my music. inspire them to believe in themselves and I just the fact that I can connect people with my music is everything
