[Blaster] Thank you for your time Dorka! How did you become involved in music production?

Dorka: With music in general, I became involved really soon, when I was 9 years old I started playing the guitar, and after that came the singing and keyboard. When I was about 16 years old, I became very interested in electronic music and how to create it. I started to learn with Tuka Eilon, who later became my partner in the latest electronic project (where we released a few songs) I started with instrumental tracks. my writing back then was in a completely different genre, until everything came together.

 

[Blaster] How would you describe your musical style?

Dorka: I am inspired by a lot of different genres and I think you can hear that in my song. It is very difficult for me to define myself in one specific genre, I think every genre expresses something else and in a different way.

 

[Blaster] Who writes your songs?

Dorka: I write my own songs, In the last project, some of the songs were written with Tamar Degani and Tuka Eilon.

 

[Blaster] Is there an hidden meaning in your music?

Dorka: Sure! I think people don’t listen enough to the words when it’s a groovy song. The rhythm sometimes “hides” the sadness in the songs, many times on purpose.

[Blaster] Where do you find your artistic inspiration?

Dorka: Listening to different types of music from all over the world and all genres, learning and trying new things, and of all day-to-day events.

 

[Blaster] Do you have a record label? Are you a member of any music organization?

Dorka: I don’t have a record label yet, but maybe after this interview?

 

[Blaster] What are the main topics for most of your songs? Do you think topics will change overtime?

Dorka: Definitely the main topic until now is Love, Relationships and everything that revolves around it. This is a very broad topic that includes a lot of sub-topics, so I wanna say that I think it will stay the main topic, but it can change later on because we are constantly evolving and experiencing new things.

 

[Blaster] What are you working on right now? Did you release something in the past? What do you feel is the best song you ever released and why?

Dorka: I released a new single in August called –  “Leave All Behind”  after 4 other songs from the same project with the Producer Tuka Eilon. I’m also working right now on a new solo project, more exposed, and corresponding with the indie districts.

 

[Blaster] Would you like to give any message to your fans?
